About TwinVQ technology:
Currently, the standard for the internet music industry is MP3 files, which compress audio data in close-to-stereo quality at a ratio of 12:1. VQF files compress at a rate of 20:1, and they sound even better. MP3s can't handle treble very well - listen to some cymbol crashes on your MP3s, they'll sound warbled - whereas VQF fixes this problem as well as many others. Another advantage of VQF is that there is only one way to decipher the files, whereas for MP3s the different players and codecs will produce different sound quality.
The VQF industry is now very small, so there's not very many songs out there for you to download, but why waste your time downloading MP3s when you know they're going to be obsolete in a few months?

Audio Software:
 WinAmp - Popular MP3 player
WinAmp plugin that allows you to play VQF files. (Must have vs. 2.03+)
Yamaha VQF Sound Player / Plugin

MetallicA VQF files:
For Whom the Bell Tolls - Techno Version
(This is AWESOME! 2.6MB))

Apocalyptica VQF files: (4 cellists play MetallicA!)
 Fade to Black (2.8 MB)
For Whom the Bell Tolls (1.8 MB)
 Nothing Else Matters (2.7 MB)

Miscellaneous
Bob Seger - Turn the Page (original version 2.9 MB)
Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots (1.0 MB)

My Song - RL (Please listen and evaluate!)
What is a song that no one can hear?
RL in MP3 format (3.7 MB)
RL in VQF format (2.3 MB - see the difference?)
About my song: I created it using one guitar. I hooked my amp up to my computer, used Sound Forge as an editing tool, recorded almost a gig of guitar, and slapped together the tracks. I promise it's only me who's playing!
